What does Fast IDP do?
Fast IDP helps Americans get official International Driving Permits from AAA quickly by going to AAA on their behalf and then shipping the IDP booklet anywhere in the world. You can get your IDP delivered as soon as the next day for addresses in the US, and as soon as 2-5 business days for most cities globally.
How do I know Fast IDP is not a scam?
If you read our Trustpilot reviews, you'll find that we have overwhelmingly positive reviews from American travelers all over the world.
Keep in mind that AAA (the American Automobile Association) is the only official issuer of IDPs for Americans. Fast IDP does not issue IDPs. What we do is travel to AAA and obtain a legitimate IDP on your behalf.

How did Fast IDP get started?
I got interested in IDPs in 2023 when I had to make an emergency trip to Japan for a few weeks and needed to drive. After I got there I realized that Japan is very strict about requiring IDPs, and I didn’t have one. When I searched online, I found lots of misinformation from scam websites trying to sell me fake IDPs, and I eventually found that the only way to get an official IDP would take 5-7 weeks and require me applying by mail through AAA.
When I got back to the United States, I started Fast IDP to provide an accurate source of information about IDPs and to serve as an expediter/courier service for IDPs from AAA. Over the last year, we’ve been helping people get IDPs and have shipped to all seven continents (including twice to Antarctica).
